Peaky is a Sovereign Bird coming for regular visits by himself and sometimes accompanied by his mate whom I call Sneaky. She is always on the background.
Peaky Caught Up In Hail Storm!
On this day February 15th 2019 I witnessed the first hail storm in San Francisco I ever experienced. Peaky is calm and right at home. I am very excited and speechless mumbling away while the delivery man is making an entrance. Priceless moment!!
Here I observe a bit of reversal in behavior. Sneaky is usually always in the background but today she is the first one on the scene just before Peaky makes his appearance. This hardly happened in the past since Peaky is always in charge. Sneaky never interferes and remains in the background even in feeding times. Today they are strengthening their bond. Peaky is the Alpha Male. Sneaky is subservient, gorgeous and Feminine.
I was awaken by a distress call in the middle of the night. I went to find Sneaky waiting for Peaky late at night. This has never occurred before since they leave before dusk and arise in the early dawn, so it took me by surprise to find her anguished at night… I had a feeling she was worried about Peaky and pacing around. Never thought they can see at night! It is best to watch it in full screen.

I was still in the dark about the nature of this relationship, not knowing the bird was merely their baby following them. It is an epic drama telling us so much more about the nature of our being. Some of us grow up to fly and be free. Some of us grow up to be dependent. So there you have it.

Peaky’s visits are on a regular basis. He does not come just to be fed! His love is absolutely unconditional. I have tested this behavior many times. He keeps good company all day long. His partner Sneaky keeps her distance. Nature at its best!! Alabastra.com
